Reporting to the Director of F&B, and working closely with the daytime Gold Pan Bar Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the Gold Pan Saloon, Best Western Gold Rush Inn.  


  • Exemplary customer service skills and a demonstrated willingness to exceed guest expectations. 
  • Ability to property mix cocktails found on our menu and as requested by guests at the bar. 
  • Must possess the desire and willingness to assist in leading a team. 
  • Human Resources skills are required. 
  • Supervisory experience in the Hospitality Industry, or a related service industry. 
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required. 
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a stressful environment, and creative problem-solving skills are necessary. 
  • Strong ability to carry out standard operating procedures, performance coaching, team building and motivation, scheduling and effective cost management. 
  • Flexible with shift work and be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.  
  • Be true to ensure best practices and high standards and service philosophies are follow. 
  • Lead by example of a positive atmosphere, and be a pro-active in leading the Gold Pan Team. 
  • Work as a “leader” assisting the team as they strive to meet or exceed guest’s expectations, hands on training with all new staff for a smooth orientation process. 
  • Be responsible for the overall cleanliness and physical condition of the bar. 
  • Assist with wine and spirits order and inventory. 
  • Complete all administrative responsibilities required in order to maintain the smooth operation. 
  • Daily cash audit and ensure cash handling policies and procedures 
  • Create an environment for staff that is conductive to successful sales. 
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage 
  • B.A.R.S course 
  • At least 2 years previous experience working in a bar setting.
