In August 2005, NVD completed the acquisition of the “Nugget Beach” property. Located on busy Second Avenue across the road from Yukon Centre Mall and just south of Shipyard’s Park on the Yukon River, this property is currently underdeveloped. It consists of a 67,059 square foot site that is presently improved with two free standing commercial buildings. One of the buildings is home to Domino’s Pizza and Investor’s Group, while the other houses Environmental Dynamics Inc. (EDI). The EDI building was re-purposed from retail (Easy Home and previously Warehouse One) to office through extensive renovations in 2013. NVD subdivided and sold a portion of the lands to facilitate development of a senior housing project which opened in 2015. In early 2018, NVD subdivided and sold the Domino’s building and lot. One lot at the corner of Ogilvie and First Avenue remains undeveloped.
